Three Year Old Curriculum

Welcome to our School! We believe we have the most  loving and caring program for a three year old that you will be able to  find. The three year old program is designed to prepare children for  learning through their classroom experiences. Children are encouraged to  follow directions, develop motor skills, and extend their attention span.  However, our main objective in working with the three year old child is to  teach love of God and each other and self esteem.

This program is to prepare your child for learning. We do not stress  academic skills for this age but do offer an everyday exposure to letter  and number skills. The curriculum is developed around themes such as family,  occupations, Thanksgiving, community helpers, safety, and other seasonal themes.  These programs will broaden your child's range of experiences as well as motivate  them. Field trips are planned, as appropriate for their level. Bible stories and  songs are included in the weekly curriculum.

Classes for three year olds are offered from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday,  Wednesday, and Friday; Tuesday and Thursday; or Monday through Friday.

Four Year Old Curriculum

Gethsemane's program for four year old children involves a  strong phonics preparation program, along with printing skills. The teachers  teach with the Alpha Time Series which use huggable, lovable inflated "letter  people" to teach the alphabet. This program is balanced with art activities,  small motor development, large motor skills, social skills and number skills.  A strong emphasis is placed on Phonics and Letter skills. We also have monthly  Science lessons to introduce the children to the exciting wonders on nature.

Each day includes sharing our love for the Lord through Bible stories, devotions,  and encouraging loving kindness toward one another. The children also enjoy several  field trips and other opportunities to learn more about God's wonderful world around  them.

Classes for the four year olds are offered from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM  on Monday through Friday.
